Missing Air Crew Project—Banner Stands Created for WWII Historic Preservation Project with the Yap Visitors Bureau I worked with the Don Evans and the Yap Visitors Bureau over the last year to utilize my Missing Air Crew Project research to help them educate the Yapese and visitors to Yap about their unique WWII history. As a first step we created two portable double sided banner stands with four banners. I selected the Banner Bug displays because the stands fit into a small carrying cases, are portable, roll up or down in seconds, are easy to setup, graphics are scuff and tear resistant, wipe down easily and look great. The Yap Visitors Bureau can port the banners around the island and set them up as displays at the airport, hotels and other locations. The pictures below show the images used to create the banners, the banners setup at the Yap Visitors Bureau when we arrived in early October as well as at my house in Cameron, WI before we shipped them to Yap Island prior to the trip.
