Japanese Dive Bomber Yokosuka D4Y (Judy) Found Please submit additioanl information and pictures to: webmaster@missingaircrew.com The following pictures were taken by Eckhard Krumpholz with the German diving magazine TAUCHEN. Eckhard located this wreck off of Yap Island in July 2005 and wanted to know if it was a Japanese Mitsubishi "ZERO" fighter. At first I though the wreck might have been an American P-47 Thunderbolt due to the rounded wing tips and the placement of the navigation light (you can see the missing navigation light in one of the pictures), however, after sharing the pictures with a friend of mine who has recovered numerous aircraft he has positively identified the wreck as a Japanese Judy Dive Bomber.
