Teaching WWII History Classes for the Yap Visitors Bureau
Pat Ranfranz returned to Yap in August 2009 to help train the Yap Tourism industry on their WWII history. Pat taught a series of WWII history classes that were sponsored by the Yap Visitors Bureau. The participants were tour guides and other people from hotels throughout the island. The classes were conducted each morning and follow-up by visits to various WWII sites that Pat Ranfranz located throughout the island. In addition to the classes, Pat created memorial signs to be placed at numerous sites around, WWII tour fact sheets, banner stands and other items that will help Yap bring more WWII tourist to the island.
